Which city is better to relocate Chicago or Indianapolis?

I am a mexican-american from Los Angeles, 23 years old looking to relocate to another state. Which of these cities has a better job market, housing, entertainment and public transportation. I plan to move sometime next year in May or June? how much money should I save?Which city is better to relocate Chicago or Indianapolis?
I've spent lots of time in both cities...I live in Chicago and my wife went to Butler in Indianapolis %26amp; my sister moved to Indy about 10 years ago.

For what you're asking you shoudl definitely move to Chicago. Indy has very minimal work hour related public transportation where Chicago has extensive, in most cases public transportation that runs 24 hours a day. It would be extremely difficult if not impossible to get around Indianapolis without a car.

- I think the job market is probably equal though Chicago is the larger city by far so there are more jobs here in Chicago.

- Entertainment. It's not even a competition. Chicago wins hands down.

- Housing? In short, my sister in Indy owns a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bedroom home in Indianapolis, I rent a two bedroom house in Chicago. My monthly rent is more than what she pays to own her home every month.

That said, I do plan on moving my family to Indianapolis in the next five years. But I'm happy I lived in Chicago for so long, it's a great city to be in your 20s and irresponsible in.

I'm not Mexican-American but I lived in a pretty hispanic neighborhood called Brighton Park on the Southwest side of the city. It's serviced by the #62 Archer Bus which runs 24/7 and will get you downtown in about a half hour. I lived above a one bedroom apartment that was going for $600 a month flat with all utilities included. I think you can probably find something around that cost, but to be safe save for $750 a month, and one month's rent for a security deposit. I would save at least $2000.Which city is better to relocate Chicago or Indianapolis?
Def. Chicago.

I think the job market is around the same in both areas. Housing is pretty expensive in Chicago, but it's worth it because property value is really good. Entertainment and public transportation is def. chicago. So many things to see and do (Navy pier, downtown, museums, parks, etc.) and the diversity among people is great so you'll get adapted well.

Public transportation is always avaliable, cta, the el (train), taxis, you name it, around the clock.

You should save a good amount of money, at first it may seem intimidating to move to such a big city, but you'll love it in no time:)

Hope you choose to move to the Windy City!

good luck!Which city is better to relocate Chicago or Indianapolis?
chicago definitely has a better job market, entertainment, and public transportation. however, the cost of living in chicago is much more than indy. i am from chicago, and now i live in indiana. i go back to chicago every chance i get because i love it so much. the thing that is nice about indiana is that the cost of living is relatively low, but at times it gets very boring here. if youre looking for a fun lifestyle and an interesting city, chicago is your best bet. if youre looking for a cheap easy city to live, indy would be better. keep in mind: in indy you would more than likely need to have a car. in chicago you could take trains or buses everywhere.
