Where are some indoor public places to take pictures?

Where are some indoor public places to take pictures?

I have a specific photographer that takes pictures of my family, and now that it's cold out and we have a little one, we have to take our sesion idoors. Instead of our house, I was thinking someplace else, maybe a grand staircase or something. But where could we go?

p.s. we live in the Chicago suburbsWhere are some indoor public places to take pictures?
Some thoughts:

In the city -

The Rookery has a pretty cool interior - the famous building by Louis Sullivan, pretty innovative for its time. Check out the picture of the light court.

The Chicago Theater started offering tours on Saturday Mornings a few years ago. It has some pretty incredible interiors. That might be a possibility. OUCH tickets are $12 - it was $5 when they first started. But here is the info if you want to look into getting pictures taken there - maybe they can give you some arrangement if you're there to take pictures:

Wheaton has Cantigny which has the Robert McCormick Mansion. There is a charge for parking but the house tour is free once you're on the grounds. That would be the easiest one to get to if you're driving and in the burbs:

I think all of those have impresive staircases and interiors.

A couple of possibilities in Naperville:

- The Naper Settlement might have something, though I'll admit I haven't been to it yet.

- The Carillon (Bell Tower) might be cool to get a photo with some aerial views of Naperville. I'm not sure how many can fit in the observation deck at a time.
