Does anyone know of any program that helps single mothers find a car in chicago il , an public housing .?

Just curious: Does this single mom have a computer and internet access? If so, I'm sure ACORN could set you right up.Does anyone know of any program that helps single mothers find a car in chicago il , an public housing .?
Public housing in Chicago?? Hah!

Good luck these days. Starting in 2007 they began to tear them down. The buildings that are still around have been rehabbed beyond recognition and they are slowly raising the rates and restrictions in an effort to privatize them. If I were you, I would google "Section 8 grants. Chicago Housing Authority"

"Section 8" offers people with low incomes to apply for subsidized rent in private units. I hear that it's no cake walk to qualify for, and it's supposedly even tougher to find an apartment complex to allow you in with government vouchers.

Other than that, I don't know of a single agency that would help you with that.

Hope this helps a little bit. Good luck.Does anyone know of any program that helps single mothers find a car in chicago il , an public housing .?
Check with churches in your area. Put the word out, you neverknow when someone will donate a vehicle instead of tading it in. Best Wishes.Does anyone know of any program that helps single mothers find a car in chicago il , an public housing .?
