New Chicago Gun Laws?

All,

Chicago had its gun ban recently overturned by the Supreme Court and now they are creating all new kind of gun restrictions. Here are some of them:

1) One gun purchase per house member per month

2) Only 1 functioning gun per house.

3) Mandatory trigger locks and cases where children are present.

3) Mandatory weapon training.

4) $15 tax per gun every 3 years + mandatory license renewal evey 3 years for another $100

Personally, I believe the overturn is a MAJOR victory regardless of the new regulations. Atleast now people can have a firearm for self defense instead of relying on the idiot Chicago police to show up 30 minutes late.

The new regulations, I believe, are EASILY argued, unconstitutional and unenforceable. How in the world can they enforce "only 1 operational firearm in any home??? or "Mandatory trigger locks and cases when children are present"??? It is absolutely rediculous. Also, I love the new taxes that are imposed per gun. I wonder how many honest and law abiding citizens are actually going to pay it...? Its a complete rip off in the guide of public safety.

The funniest thing is that the Chicago ban has been in force for 28 years and we have shootings all the time. Somehow, after all these years, our city government seems to think the gun ban actually works. There are only a handful of states with complete bans, so it is pretty idiotic to think that by banning guns they will stop crime. If the idiot police would do their jobs and arrest criminals, we would have a lot less problems.

What do you think???New Chicago Gun Laws?
You forgot that training must be at licensed gun ranges and that no new licences will be issued. The few ranges in Chicago and surrounding areas are currently reserved for police only. Since you are not allowed to take your gun outside your home how do you practice?

At least6 my State ( Ok.) has more reasonable laws. I don't have a gun. Don't need one. My wife does. And she is good. Has a ladies night out every month where this group of women practices in different conditions. Her main weapon is an H%26amp;K 9mm. She can hit a sillouette in low light lying down. She just got a Taurus arms "The Judge" as her concealed carry weapon. Not much knock down with the .410 shotgun shells but I doubt an assailant will continue after one or two hits.New Chicago Gun Laws?
Why would any decent human being live in Chicago in the first place?
