What is the madness towards Obama about?

I don't understand where is the disrespect people think Obama has towards America. As a young African American I don't think it is a racial issue I hope. I thought thoses days were long gone, but I also know older people vote their fears whether than their hopes. Everyday I hear my older parents and relatives, stating that "White people is just trying to take this nomination from him" , Which I disagree with(Again maybe because I am young and never seen racism). Maybe Obama is trying to give Americans tough Love. By saying hey It is time for you to get your house in order( but to be honest that sounds more like a pastor speaking than a President). I live in chicago and over last 18 months 25 chicago public school kids were killed by gang members with guns. I ask do those people have a voice or rural areas of the Heartland? I am registered firearm holder, but I do think there should be some laws that limit the access to guns by drug dealers and gang bangers.What is the madness towards Obama about?

I don't exactly know what the madness about Obama is. Everybody in politics are trying to dig up dirt on him. I Dont really think his preacher is speaking for him. I do think he is trying to show us tough love, and he is trying to BETTER America. I think the color of his skin shouldn't have anything to do with with campaign. Some people are trying to pull the race card on him, and I don't think it is right. All this madness about Obama is just B.S.What is the madness towards Obama about?
just some of the things he's said I guess could be misconstrued as "anti-american" such as his wife said "I for onece in my life am proud to be an American' and he associated with that reverend who called the country "the United States of the KKK". I dont think he should blame for what his wife or friend said, but i guess it's guilt by association. I mean I do think what the reverend said is true to some degree, but what his wife said actualyl bugged me...for once in her life she's prud 2b american? she's a succesful woman, went to grad school, etc it doesnt sound like she got a raw deal from this country at all, it's like shes saying before she was ashamed.

But I agree with you--I think it's his method and he's trying to give "tough love". But I dont know where you get the notion white people are turning against him, bc he still has plenty of white supporters.

I love the world you live in! Obama has done something every Black person did not think they would see in their lifetime and that is become a serious contender for the President of the Unitd States. This man has young and Old whites voting for him. This something you see in the movies, not something that should exist in 2009. I would love for Mccain to select Sec Rice as his running mate and then see what happens because he is 70 years old and his VP might be President. Like or not Obama is fresh and has Ideas. The world wants the America we once was back. I believe he is crazy to want the job. Deficit like crazy, a screwed up war. Unemployement up, The fence is not up ETC: Racism still exist and far greater than what you believe or see!What is the madness towards Obama about?
I don't care if he is red, green , black or purple. I WILL NOT vote for him for other reasons. His relationship with his past pastor for 20 years of listening to the white hater.His church gave an award to that racist that hates ALL WHITES and is very open about it. He has ties to the Muslim faith and this we don't need. An ex muslim and now a reformed man, has said that in 2020 he expects this nation will be Islamic. I for one do not want to aid in this.I don't believe he knows enough about foreign things. to be President. He has misrepresented himself too many times. I am a democrat but I will not vote for he or Clinton. For the first time in my life I will vote Republican. I don't care too much for him either ,but I feel he's the lesser of the three, of wrong doings. So, I won't vote for him because he's black------------------NO that is not the reason' If Colin Powell was running I do believe I would vote for him and he's black. It's according to the person and not the color.I hope you don't feel that way. Would you vote for a man that had ties with people, that hated blacks and very open about it ?Some one with ties to a man that openly says blacks should be destroyed? I don't think you would and I can't either. Not all blacks like whites my friend.
