What do you think about Obama's kids being in private schools?

Public education is THE great American success story and to leave access to good education to only those who can afford it is elitism and hurts our society


Taking all the good kids and teachers and money out of public schools and then saying that public schools are bad becomes in effect a self fulfilling prophecy .|||Good for them.|||They'd probably get their as*ses whooped in a public school after the bullies found out who they are.|||Public schools are getting by on a shoestring, they are struggling. If I had the money I would send my kids to private school too.

Chelsea went to Sidwell Friends School when in DC, a private school.





Whats wrong with private school? Public School costs us about 25k per student per year, I send my step kid to private school for about 7k per year.

That isn't average at all, maybe you should start there|||Alot of people here are answering "what's wrong with private schools blah blah" , the answer is nothing is wrong with but the republicans want to give vouchers so people that are in bad school district but not rich enough like hillary and barry obama to send their kids to better schools. But the dems are hypocrites who say they care so much about education but then won't help underpriveliged get the same education they were entitled too because mr. obama attended the best private school money can buy on scholarship because his typical white grandparents helped him get a scholarship there. He is the biggest hypocrite on this issue because he claims to not have any special interests or lobbyists connections but what is the teachers union is that not a special interest? They are pulling his strings on education and all they want is more money for no accountability. When he puts money into education is all he going to do is increase their salaries? Because you should know there are good and bad teachers they need to be held accountable. Also the dems accuse republicans of taking people's right away but they are the ones trying to stop home schooling (ala california) and vouchers for private schools they want people trapped in bad public schools.
