I don't look at blacks and whites as Obama does. Most black Americans don't want Obama and his brand of socialism...they are getting wrapped up in the history of it all.

EDIT. Okay. Seriously. What are you talking about. The government already invests billions in medical technology. They give tax breaks to drug companies. They fund the NIH which supports medical research at universities and trains scientists in graduate programs (the very best graduate programs in the world thank you very much). There would be NO technological breakthroughs at all if the government didn't spend this money.
And you don't want to wait in line to see your doctor so a poor kid has to die of asthma? I'm sure we can figure out ways to speed up and streamline the process of seeing a doctor.
Yeah, he gave up opportunities to make millions of dollars at the best Law firms in the Country to be a person who helps people. I guess if you want the truth you will find that his record is not so dismal after all.

Obama has not been talking about the poor. He's been talking about the middle class.
Obama is after helping the working taxpayers that are having a harder time just keeping their head above water. He wants to help them before they become part of the poor. Very few rise above.

2. Voting records on their face mean nothing. You need to examine the whole bill they are referring to. A lot of times bills are not voted for because of provisions within them.

Those that lose a limb are getting minimal if any treatment for those injuries

Imagine being in Service in Iraq. You are in Special Ops you parachute out of a helicopter and upon impact you injure your back

School choice scholarships basically give up on these failing schools. Wouldn't it be better to fix schools than to have everyone in a school district trying to send their kids to the same school? If we did allow school choice, do you think that the well connected would get their choice, or would the most disadvanted get their choice?
We can go to scholarship vouchers when we are ready to give up on public schools. Doing it any sooner just sucks money away from the schools that need it the most.

All the successful economies in the world are mixed economies, capitalism with social programs. There is a reason for this. Capitalism, while successful, isn't perfect. It will always always concentrate wealth in a few hands. We saw this in the years leading up to the great depression and we have seen it in the last 25 years of Reaganomics.
Many countries with far more social entitlements than we have, also have higher standards of living than we do and much better economic mobility. Economic mobility is the ability to achieve the "American dream" and rise by hard work and intelligence. Under Reaganomics, not only have we gone from the worlds biggest creditor nation to the worlds biggest debtor; we have also become the industrialized country with the worst distribution of wealth in the world, with the exceptions of Russia and Mexico. The distribution of wealth is the worst since 1929.
Here's what Reaganomics has given us after over 25 years to prove itself. According to a study by the Pew Foundation, between 1983 and 2004, all of which was a period of Reaganomics, even during Clinton's term;
The top 1% in income got 33% of the economic growth, the next 4% got over 25% of the growth. The lower 80%, the vast majority of us, received only 11% of the economic growth. Does that sound like a policy that promotes the American dream?
All Obama and most Americans are asking for is our fair share. The workforce is the engine of the economy. It deserves it's fair share. Call that socialism if you want, but I'll have to call Reaganomics socialism for the rich and the large corporations who control the government now.
