I live in chicago and Im seriously ready to move by this may but I have a few dilemmas before I move.
Which is family orientated because I have 2 kids( a boy and girl)?
Less expensive to live?
I plan on going to medical school, so who has better medical schools?
Better weather? (so sick of snow)
How are the public school systems?
Which is more military friendly? (my love is a medic in the army)
And who has more activities?
Housing properties?
I know its a lot to ask but this would really help before I just uproot my family. Thanks for your time.|||Here is what I think:
Texas is more family oriented, especially Austin.
They both have pretty much the same prices for homes and such.
Austin has much better weather ( even though they both get REALLY hot in the summers. Pack light)
Schools in Texas are facing budget cuts, but some ( especially in Austin) have exemplary curriculum and teachers.
Military friendly: My opinion: Texas. The Universe's messed up opinion: Arizona.
Activities: Texas! Especially Austin ( Are you taking any of my hints?!)
Housing: beautiful homes in both.
I'd say Texas, but nowhere except Austin or the Austin area. Everywhere else it's either all oil rigs, farms, or highways. Austin is just beautiful and one of the best places to live. It is a very laid-back, friendly city that your kids will LOVE!
And don't worry, our governor shouldn't last much longer. XD|||C'mon. Texas.
