I'm having a lot of trouble deciding what colleges to look at?

I am going to be a senior in high school. Basically, I have absolutely not a clue about what I want to do in the future......I just want to get out of my house and live on my own because I can barely stand living where I am.

But my mom really wants me to start looking at colleges. Ther thing is, I have no idea what to do in the future so I will go in "undecided". So looking at which schools have better programs in terms of certain degrees really isn't an issue.

I am a very flexible person so little things that may matter to some people probably matter less to me.

But for now, there's really not a noticeable difference in what I prefer between universities like the University of Illinois and the University of Minnesota at Morris.

I just need help somehow narrowing my search down. I don't care whether it's small or what type of area it's in........just as long as there is a public basketball court at a nearby park that I can go to.

I rally want Loyola U. at Chicago but I probably won't be able to afford that...........any help on how to narrow down what colleges to look at and maybe visit?|||Look at state schools in your home state. State schools are good for students who are undecided. They offer a large number of undergraduate courses and majors they will also be the least expensive schools to go to. If you will have to take out loans be fiscally responsible about your choice. Most of my friends graduated form school with $25 thousand dollars in debt or more because they chose to go to an out of state school and now they are having trouble finding jobs and cannot pay back their loans with out their parents help. Go and visit some of these schools if you are Flexible you might like some of them. You can find out more about them during the college tours. Remember this if you go to a state school 100 or more miles away you will only see your family during holidays and school breaks. Good luck with finding a good school!|||Almost any state school will satisfy your needs. I have some fantastic schools for all around, the first one being one of the best. (You will notice a lot of them are UC schools, thats cause they are really good for almost all subjects) Also if you don't know try taking a year or two at a community college, maybe get a better feel for what you want to do. (Thats what I am doing, except I have known what I want to do for a while.)

UC Berkley

USC

UC Los Angeles

UC San Diego

UC Davis

UC Santa Barbara

My suggestion for community colleges is somewhere warm (like SBCC) they tend to have really good programs, and try community college near ivy league schools. The professors from the ivy league schools will usually teach the exact same class at a different and cheaper school.
