The days leading up to the crucial Texas and Ohio primaries have been full of questions and scrutiny for Barack Obama.
First, there are his ties to Chicago businessman Tony Rezko who’s now on trial for political corruption. Obama isn’t implicated in the case at all, but Rezko contributed 150-thousand dollars over the years to Obama’s campaigns, money Obama says has since been donated to charity. Rezko also helped him buy a home and sold a strip of land to Obama – a purchase the candidate characterizes as “boneheaded.”
Obama is also denying a report that a senior campaign official assured Canada that the candidate’s tough talk on NAFTA is more about “political positioning.”
The Canadian Embassy has backed up Obama’s version of the meeting, saying that there was no intention to convey that Obama and his campaign were taking different positions on NAFTA in public and private.
But politics is a contact sport, and Hillary Clinton has jumped all over Barack Obama – challenging his credibility and accusing him of deception. It’s interesting when you consider that Obama hasn’t brought up any of the past Clinton scandals during the campaign… you know, all of the stuff that’s part of Clinton’s experience like: Whitewater, Travelgate, Monica Lewinsky and impeachment, renting out the Lincoln bedroom, the loss of the Rose Law Firm billing records for nearly 2 years until they were miraculously found in the White House living quarters, removing files from Vince Foster’s office following his suicide and before investigators could get there.
Maybe it’s been a mistake for Obama to run a campaign about hope and change and not to touch any of this.|||Yes. I think he was think about the democrat party. Hilary is letting her ego get in the way. If she wins, she will not have my vote. I think they should have let Hilary run first then Obama could get four years experience as VP. Maybe just maybe American will be ready for African American president.|||Both Obama and his wife are nasty.|||That's what makes him so refreshing and he has so much appeal. For America people have gown tired of POLITICS AS USUAL. He's going to make it. He can get tough with Mc Cain when he gets the nod.|||yeah, he's too nice to radicals and criminal types---pure dead weight; redundant---he's needs to tell them to get lost, cause he doesn't need 'em any more anyway---they're like totally embarassing|||I think you have confused "nice" with "lying".|||Obama's a complete joke, but people vote for him cause they don't want Hillary or McCain to be president. He's far too inexperienced to be president in a time like this. Either way this country's screwed in the next 4 years.|||Really ?|||NOOOOOOOOOO to OBama...my reasons
Obama may very well be the anti-christ...read up in the bible..he fits it to a tee..........so many ppl are voting on him based on skin color and age....do they not know that he is muslim..he swore in to office on the koran..not the bible..he wont even pledge aliegance to flag...our country was built upon religion and our beleifs....plzzzzzzzzzzzzz ppl think before you vote.........."a man will come from the east and claim to solve our problems"|||Hmmm, you might want to delve further back into Obama's time as a community organizer and an IL State Senator...he never made any decisions that would mar his record for the Presidency. As an IL State Senator, the legislation that he claimed to have passed was actually the work of the other Senators. Obama stretches the truth...and if you think he is not involved with Rezko...I have abridge to sell you! Obama use his influence to acquire funds for Rezko to revitalize old houses for the poor...Rezko failed.
